The Tumblr Redesign is Not that Bad… But Not that Great
Every time there’s a change to the overall system, I read a big outcry. I decided to look into matters myself. I turned off Missing E, clear my cache and dive right in.
If you look at picture #1, one of my most frustrating experiences on Tumblr have finally been resolved.
In the past, I have to keep in mind what blog I’m posting to. It was so painful, especially when I want to do a quick reblog of something. Now, I’m able to tell, for the first time see which blog I’m posting to. (If you must ask, yes, I post to all of them. What’s Striply Drama? That’s another topic for another day.)
Picture #2 shows that I can embed video codes and preview videos while I’m trying in stuff. Previewing the video while in post (without having to save first) is important to me. And if I don’t want the video or it’s the wrong video, I can easily remove it.
Picture #3 shows another thing I can’t do unless I have Missing E and that’s the ability to reblog a post from my own blog to my own blog. This was a Missing E feature that was badly needed.
Picture #4 shows a picture gallery… that I can rearrange. I can move the pictures. With a little practice, you can layout the pictures in a way you that you like it. You can even re-order pictures.
One thing I can’t screencap the “drag and drop feature” where you can drag pictures and drop them off either into the photo gallery or into the posts.
Another thing I like that I didn’t screencap is the arrow by the create post that tucks away other features, such as drafts, queue post, and schedule features.
While I like the newness of stuff… there’s still a lot that is missing.
I’m not uncomfortable with change. But there’s so much that we’re doing with Missing E that we can’t do on Tumblr. Each of these changes break Missing E and instead of making my Tumblr experience a breeze, you’re giving me a bigger headache.
I won’t even mention things like an actual blocking system, and customer support that looks at the whole problem, not just part of it.
But alas… while I really like the new improvements, my relationship with tumblr has always been a two steps forward, two steps back experience. What is easier on other networks is difficult to do here.
And that’s just sad.
(But thanks for fixing the problem with the tags. The one where “enter” doesn’t automatically post my post)
WOW, are there actually people this insecure? You don’t own someone who you’re dating. They were a separate person before they dated you, their friends (yes, even ones of the opposite gender) don’t cease to exist just because you called dibs on them.
Don’t look at him, don’t text him, don’t smile at him…? Jesus Christ.
I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO IS ALLOWED TO BRING JOY TO HIS MISERABLE LIFE
DON’T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE HIS EXISTENCE
HE’S MIIIIIIIINE
Oh man if the gender was a woman, everyone would be 10x more upset and probably shout abuse or something.
This is the worst.
this is stupid :UDAFUQ? O__o I would never do that to Cryptic. He’s got female friends who he’s hugged and chatted with and all that, and I’m 100% okay with it, even miles and miles away!
It’s called trust, you crazy OP.
You wouldn’t do it because you’re not insane
Well thank you! uwu I’d never wanna be the insane girlfriend ever ever ever XD
You know, someone is interested in me at the moment. And trust me, she is no where NEAR this insecure.
If this person was my girlfriend and did not said this as a joke, I would have dumped her.

The one problem I have with Facebook suggesting people to subscribe to? When my best friend from the VI subscribes to…
… strippers/video girls/models…
Not that I mind… but this is pretty insulting.
