he bought you dinner, you do owe him sex

whatwhiteswillneverknow:

jsohcable:

otherwise why did you go on the date?  he didn’t do it to spend time with you, you’re a shrill dullard.  he doesn’t give a shit about your AA hire career, he actually earned his position.  he went on the date because he wants sex.  you went on the date because you’re a conceited gold digger.

the revolution is coming ladies, less and less men are putting up with your intolerable behavior and hysterics.  you brought this on yourselves, don’t blame me for pointing it out.  you poisoned the waters, and men aren’t drinking from them anymore.

We’re going to keep this one simple.

To the person that wrote this…

… with your backwards thinking, testosterone driven, male chauvinist, horny jack off that should have been been captured by the condom or other disposal methods that we can’t say here because it would offend your mother, who we feel should have raised you better.

And yes, this is coming from a man. You know, we have women brought US dinner… we assure you that they don’t expect to get fuck for it.

When men think like this, it’s a possible rapist alert.

Female Gamers, the WNBA, Tomboys and Unicorns…

I am not surprised that female gamers exist… I’m surprised that a lot of males look at female gamers like they are freaking unicorns.

But to be fair, I do keep thinking they are tomboys.

Before you think “stereotyping”… I am trying not to lump y’all into a group, but it’s a character flaw of mine. #dontshootme

I also think the WNBA should be taken seriously. Nah…

I think we should just integrate the NBA and get female players. No one wants to watch basketball during the summer unless it’s good ol’ street ball.

Gimme Lisa Leslie and Brandi Reed for a three on three. We will whip all the all male squads asses. Brandi will be enough gangsta for the both of us.

So yeah… I will stop calling females with male interests “tomboys”. Because there’s nothing feminine about beating a guy’s ass…

… but it is hella sexy.

This was a random ass topic. Don’t like it? Tuff.

some thoughts on privilege and prejudice: what separates awesome people from bigots.

marissaaa:

If you were brought up in western society (or any tbh), you were brought in a system that promotes privilege and bigotry. There are no if, ands, or buts to this statement. It just is what it is. Almost everyone benefits from some sort of ism, whether it be racism, sexism, classism, ageism, cissexism, colorism, etc. Most people benefit from several of these. When you benefit from any of these….guess what…you have privilege! Just because you’re gay, doesn’t mean you don’t have the privelege of being cis. If you’re, trans, bi, and a POC, that doesn’t mean you don’t benefit from classism…or ageism. Everyone…and I mean everyone has some sort of privilege.

You can cry, scream, and shout about how you’re immune….but you’re not. Because our world is made up of several complex institutionalized systems, the isms intersect for people and get benefits from these systems. It’s hard to really think about, since truly having privilege means that you don’t have to think about it. You have the privilege of being the norm. You have the preferred attribute/trait in our society.

What goes hand in hand with this, is that those benefit from these systems usually have some some form of prejudice against the marginalized people the systems effect. I’m not talking about people walking around screaming slurs. I’m talking about the underlying feelings that many have. Prejudice is basically programmed into every person.

Now see, this is where things go from sad to awesome. The best thing about being human, is that despite all of the terrible shit that we’ve started/contributed to, we have the power to question these things. What separates a bigot and an awesome individual, is the willingness to acknowledge privilege and to question these systems instead of reinforcing them.  That whole….”that’s just the way it is, you can’t change it” mentality that most people have about issues like these is such bull shit. If you as a person understand something is wrong, you shouldn’t just accept it. Willful ignorance is well…just as bad as it sounds. Who in gods name chooses to be stupid? I don’t, you shouldn’t either. Questioning how you respond to marginalized groups and your own privilege is the first ( and albeit most repeated) step to being well….awesome. It’s the first step to being a decent human being, and in my opinion decent humans = awesome people. They’re far and few, man. (However, don’t act like you deserve a cookie for any of this. You don’t. Maybe a high five, but it’s definitely nothing to use to try and get attention.)

Awesome people not only question these systems, they fight them. They fight their prejudice everyday. The don’t think what they’re told to thought, and they don’t let hateful messages consume them.

It doesn’t take much to be your nice average person. Ignoring privilege and being prejudiced doesn’t make you the devil, just the average person I experience on a day-to-day basis. Why be average when you can be awesome? Why take advantage of people when you can help them? If you care about power and influence more than people, than you are probably bigoted in some way or another. If you care about people and betterment of mankind…and you actually mean that….then question your privilege, fight your prejudice, and continue on the road to being awesome. It’s not easy, it’s what we’re taught since we’re born, but it’s worth it every step of the way. :)

I said this once…

“Life isn’t fair. That’s the bad news. It’s also the good news.”

At the end of the day, people will be what society thinks they are and will take advantage of the fact.
